Movie – Dark Side of The Full Moon

Having a baby is supposed to be the happiest time of your life.  But what if it’s not?  Each year 1.3 million women in the U.S. struggle to find support and treatment for postpartum depression and other perinatal mood disorders.  Two women, Maureen Fura and Jennifer Silliman, both with firsthand knowledge of this challenge, came together to give a face and a voice to the countless women who suffer in silence. Tell your other friends and have them join us for this special screening of Dark Side of the Full Moon!

Courage to Heal

For women who been wounded by abortion, miscarriage, sexual trauma, domestic violence or loss of a loved one. Small, confidential groups meet weekly regarding each topic.

PAS – Past Abortion Support

Forbidden grief describes the sadness and pain felt by many women following their abortion decision. These losses must be grieved and, as with all grieving journeys, this involves processing emotional responses such as relief, denial, guilt, shame, depression, anger, and forgiveness. PAS – past-abortion support involves small and confidential support groups to offer women a way to discover their healing.

California Nurses Educational Institute

Pregnancy is a time of change and new experiences. You experience feelings, both physical and emotional, that you may have never experienced before. It is a big change to all areas of your life. It is also a learning experience for you, your partner, and your family. To help you adjust to these factors there are educational classes offered in many areas including, childbirth, breastfeeding, and parenting. There are also classes to help others in your family such as grandparents and siblings. Classes include but not limited to: Childbirth Preparation, Breastfeeding, CPR, Wonder of the Human Body and Mind.

Pure Sex (Teen & Adults)

Many teens look for information about sex and sexuality from sources other than their parents. In fact, the number-one source for kids to get sex education is on the internet and from their friends—and that’s not the best place to get safe, value-centered sex information. Often their emotional involvement exceeds their maturity, and they’re left to navigate decisions about sexuality without a trustworthy guide. It’s vital to teach sexual integrity, self- worth and the dangers of multiple partners that can lead to STDs or unplanned pregnancy.

Desert Regional Hospital
