Heartbeat At 22 Mission Statement
To educate and impact our culture with messages of truth regarding life in the womb, enabling individuals to stand in courage and share newfound knowledge with others. To provide solutions for women facing an unplanned pregnancy; allowing them to find the courage to carry the baby to term, whether parenting or allowing adoption. To provide hope, support, recovery and restoration to those seeking courage to heal from an abortion experience.
HEARTbeat At 22 is a 501(C) 3 non-profit organization (recognized by the IRS on March 29, 2012) with an inspiring purpose and powerful vision to educate men and women of all ages about the developing life in the womb. Through education and counseling, we hope to provide support for more women in crises pregnancies.
HEARTbeat At 22 envisions the day when the truth about life in the womb, from inception, is so compelling that the decision to terminate the unborn child will be unappealing even in crisis situations. It is a day when more women will know the sound emanating from within the womb within 22 days of conception is the unborn child’s heartbeat and believe their best choice will be to carry the baby to term whether to parent or allow a family that cannot conceive, to adopt. Today, in America, there are families’ eager to adopt all unwanted babies, regardless of genetic heritage, sex, addiction or deformity.
HEARTbeat At 22 operates Mama’s House. This beautiful home provides shelter and exists to meet the needs of women who choose to carry their baby to term despite seemingly insurmountable odds. Currently, we house mothers 18 years and older. In the future, we hope to add a wing to Mama’s House or open a separate home for pregnant teens in the Coachella Valley.
HEARTbeat At 22 also conducts recovery programs for women and men wounded by an abortion experience. There are thousands of people in our community who need to be reached with hope, restoration, and freedom from past hurts.
We anxiously await the day when funding becomes available to both meet the needs of pregnant teens in our area and launch a full media campaign with “Did You Know?” messages. These messages will educate about life in the womb, i.e. did you know that the baby’s heart is beating within 22 days of conception, about the time a woman is beginning to suspect she is pregnant? Or, did you know that there are measurable brain waves about the time she is having the pregnancy confirmed?
